THE YUNGBLUD SHOW LIVE REVIEW

Updated: Apr 23, 2020

Maybe it's his commitment or maybe it’s his intensity, but he makes it hard to look away, due to fear of missing out.

From the comical pre-recorded applause to the very real sweat pouring down his face, YUNGBLUD gives it all away when he performs. Due to the current pandemic our country is facing, live venues are closing and concerts are being canceled. In true YUNGBLUD nature, he decided to put on a concert that everyone could enjoy, from the comfort of their own homes. For free. This idea was genius and is bound to be the start of a trend.

“Our generation are standing up to something, and we can beat it”, Yungblud’s message to fans, a similar battle cry to his song ‘Hope for the Underrated youth’. Machine Gun Kelly came on stage to perform their pop-punk hit, ‘I Think I’m Okay’ and the fans went wild in the comments. Fans used the hashtag #theyungbludshow to send pictures of their ‘isolation’ viewing party and questions.

“Thank you for saving my… life”, is what he said before performing a raw and emotional rendition of his song ‘Casual Sabotage’, a love letter to his fans. From heavy bass to rhythmic drum solos, to meticulous guitar riffs, the alternative rock singer had the audience mesmerised. After performing his hit Machine Gun, Machine Gun Kelly came on stage one last time to spray Lysol. A humorous finish to an incredibly well thought out concert.
